FAQ

1. What is tofu cat litter made from?

Latutu tofu litter is made from natural plant-based ingredients, including food-grade soy fibre and starch. It’s safe, gentle, and environmentally friendly — perfect for Kiwi homes.

2. Is tofu litter safe for cats and families?

Yes. Our formula is non-toxic, low dust, and paw-friendly. It’s suitable for kittens, adult cats, and multi-cat households. No harmful chemicals, no added fragrances.

3. Does tofu litter control odour well?

Absolutely. The natural soy fibres absorb moisture quickly and lock in smells, keeping your home fresher for longer.

4. How well does tofu litter clump?

Latutu tofu litter forms firm and easy-to-scoop clumps, making daily cleaning quick and tidy.

5. Is tofu litter flushable?

Yes, small clumps can be flushed in most New Zealand homes.
However, for older plumbing or septic systems, we recommend disposing in the rubbish instead — just to be safe.

6. Is Latutu tofu litter low dust?

Yes. We strictly control raw materials and processing to reduce dust as much as possible. This helps protect your cat’s breathing and keeps your home cleaner.

7. How often should I replace the litter?

Scoop daily and fully change the litter every 1–2 weeks, depending on your cat’s habits and the number of cats in your home.

8. Is tofu litter suitable for all litter boxes?

Yes. Latutu tofu litter works well with open, enclosed, top-entry, and drawer-style litter boxes.

9. Does tofu litter track (get carried outside the box)?

Our pellets are designed to be low-tracking, but a small amount is normal. Using a litter mat can help reduce it even more.
